Thanks to them, we didn’t have to start from scratch over and over again.
Our ancestors didn’t just survive, hunt, or build. They also thought, discovered, and wrote things down. And that changed everything.

Because when someone wrote down how to build a tool, treat a wound, or run a city, it stopped being just their knowledge—it became something everyone after them could use.
Books are memory. They’re legacy. They’re how we managed to remember what we learned through trial and error, and keep moving forward without falling into the same traps.

Thanks to them, we know more, we are more, and we’ve gone way further.
And even if today we read it off a screen, the essence is still the same: someone had an idea, wrote it down… and that idea just made its way to you. That, if you think about it, is pure magic.

SUPERMAN: LEGACY

There was a time, back in the '90s, when going to the movies felt like a weekend ritual. Every Friday brought new and varied releases. There was always something that grabbed your attention—maybe a wild comedy, an action flick full of explosions, or a story that hit you right in the feels. Not every movie was a masterpiece, but most of them did the job: they entertained you, made you laugh, pulled you in. And the best part? You walked out of the theater feeling like it was worth it, like you hadn't been ripped off. (Back then, 4 euros got you a ticket, popcorn, and a drink.)

Nowadays, though, it’s hard to find something that actually makes you want to pay for the big screen experience. Weeks can go by without a single release that doesn’t feel recycled, predictable, or just plain boring. I don’t know if it’s me getting pickier, the industry running out of ideas and cash, or a mix of both. But in this case, it really does feel like the “good old days” weren’t just nostalgia—things really were better back then.

DC just dropped a nearly five-minute clip on YouTube featuring David Corenswet as Superman, along with his dog, Krypto. The video shows a wounded Superman in a frozen, icy setting.

There was a time when hitting the road with a backpack and your thumb out wasn’t just a way to travel — it was a whole mindset. It wasn’t about getting there fast or riding in comfort. It was about trust. Trust in people, in luck, in the road itself.

The hitchhiker — that character somewhere between adventurer, street philosopher, and laid-back backpacker — had its golden era from the '60s to the '90s. You’d spot them at gas stations, highway exits, or standing by the side of a country road, cardboard sign in hand, smile on their face. And just like that, through stories, shared smokes, and cassette tapes, little human connections were born — ones that lasted as long as the ride did.

But like many beautiful things, hitchhiking started to fade. Fear crept in, the news got darker, smartphones took over, and then came ridesharing apps and cheap flights. These days, pulling over for a stranger feels more like a movie scene than a real plan.
